My work comes from the places I go, the people I meet, the things that stick with me long after they're gone. A wine bar. A sauna at midnight. A stray thought that wouldn't leave. Even when you recognise the place, I'm not copying it like a photograph. I'm carving what it felt like to be there. Bold and a little rough, the way memory actually is.
