Hello, I’m Isuru Perera

I’m a multidisciplinary creative working across art, photography, workshops and marketing, exploring how ideas become experiences, and how creative work brings people together.

My practice moves between making, documenting and facilitating. Sometimes that looks like photographing a moment, sometimes running a hands-on workshop, sometimes helping a local business clarify how they show up in the world. The thread running through it all is curiosity, craft and connection.

What I work with

My work lives across a few overlapping areas:

Photography
I work with photography as both documentation and expression capturing people, places and moments with an eye for atmosphere and honesty.

Art & Creative Practice
Alongside commissioned and applied work, I create personal pieces and prints that explore form, process and material. This is where experimentation and slower thinking live.

Workshops
I run creative workshops often printmaking-based designed to be accessible, hands-on and social. They’re about learning through doing, and creating something tangible to take home.

Marketing & Strategy
I work with cafés, small businesses and creative projects to help them communicate clearly online combining practical strategy with an understanding of culture, community and aesthetics.

These aren’t separate identities for me, they inform each other.

How I approach my work

I’m interested in process as much as outcome.
In making space for learning, conversation and iteration.
In work that feels grounded rather than performative.

Whether I’m working one-to-one, with a group, or on a personal project, I try to build things that are thoughtful, human and durable.
