Prints Carved From Experience

Welcome to my curated collection of original lino prints — I create hand-carved lino prints inspired by the things I experience in daily life — shapes, movements, expressions, light, and moments that stay with me. Each print is an exploration of what I see and feel, transformed into simple, bold forms on paper.

About Lino Printing

What Is Lino Printing?

Lino printing (or linocut) is a traditional printmaking method where I carve a design into a sheet of linoleum using fine tools. The raised surface is then inked with a roller, and paper is pressed onto it — transferring the carved image by hand or with a printing press.

Each print carries subtle variations in texture and tone, giving every piece a unique, handmade quality. Unlike digital prints, no two lino prints are exactly alike — every impression is an original work of art.

The Process

Sketching — I begin by sketching ideas directly onto the lino block or transferring from drawings.

Carving — Using fine gouges, I carve away areas that won’t receive ink. This is slow, meditative work — every line is intentional.

Inking — I roll on a thin layer of ink with a brayer, ensuring even coverage.

Printing — The block is pressed onto archival-quality paper. I sometimes hand-press smaller works; larger ones go through a manual press.

Drying & Signing — Each print is left to dry for several days before being hand-signed, numbered, and titled.

Why Lino Prints Are Unique

Each piece is handmade — carved, inked, and pressed individually.

Limited editions mean scarcity and authenticity.

Tactile textures give depth that can’t be replicated by a printer.

Sustainable materials — I use oil-based or eco-friendly inks, recyclable lino, and archival paper.

Timeless technique — the same process used by artists like Picasso and Matisse.
