Creative Team Building in Copenhagen: Inside a 43-Person Lino Print Workshop

Team building doesn’t have to follow the usual format.
More companies are moving away from passive events and looking for something more engaging — something hands-on, creative, and genuinely memorable for their teams.
Recently, I hosted a 43-person lino print workshop for the team at Milestone Systems in Copenhagen. The session is a good example of how creative workshops can work at scale, while still feeling personal and relaxed.
What the workshop looked like
The workshop ran for four hours and was designed to take participants through the full process of lino printmaking:
Idea → Drawing → Carving → Inking → Printing
All materials were provided, including lino blocks, carving tools, paper, and inks. Participants were guided step-by-step, with support throughout from assistants to ensure everyone could work at their own pace.
Despite the size of the group, the structure allowed for a smooth flow — with participants moving between carving and printing in smaller groups.
By the end of the session, everyone had created multiple prints to take home.

Why creative workshops work for teams
One of the most consistent things you hear at the start of a session is:
“I’m not creative.”
And almost every time, that changes within the first hour.
Creative workshops work well for teams because they:
Encourage collaboration in a relaxed environment
Give people a break from screens and structured thinking
Create a shared experience that’s different from day-to-day work
Allow individuals to engage at their own level
There’s no pressure to “perform” — just to create.

Designed for companies and team events
Workshops can be adapted depending on the group size, space, and goals.
For companies, this often includes:
On-site workshops at offices
Team offsites or away days
Smaller team sessions
Larger-scale events (40+ participants)
Everything is set up to run smoothly within a corporate environment — from materials and layout to timing and facilitation.
What participants take away
At the end of the session, participants leave with:
Their carved lino block
Multiple handmade prints
A clear understanding of the process
More importantly, they leave with something they’ve created themselves — which tends to be what people remember most.
Feedback and reviews
Workshops have consistently received positive feedback, with multiple 5-star reviews from participants and organisers.
